COMMUTERS
First subway line built in Tokyo, the Ginza Line runs between the chic downtown area of Shibuya to the traditional suburb of Asakusa. Inevitably, the line serves a cross-section of Japanese society ranging from burnt-out young executives, tired old ladies or simply hungover youth. A trip on the Ginza subway is an opportunity for all these folk to catch up on lost sleep. This film, "Commuters", is part of the "Ginza Line-Tokyo Project" the book "Sleepers" is the 2nd part.
